During my consultations, I work with a lot of clients that operate an online business selling physical products, such as Amazon FBA.
Amazon FBA is great, however, when I get to analyze the business of such consultant clients, I see the same mistake time and time again.
It’s the mistake of ONLY focusing on selling on Amazon.
It’s assuming that the tip of the iceberg is the iceberg, not realizing that there’s all this untapped potential within reach.
By untapped potential, I mean big profits!
Not only is there a lot of money to be made outside of Amazon FBA, the profit margins are also sky-high!
Should You Quit Amazon FBA?
No, that’s not what I am suggesting. Quite the opposite, actually.
I am saying that once you have your Amazon FBA business up and running, look beyond Amazon to expand that business.
If you don’t have a product or brand website already, that’s a must-have.
Start collecting email leads from visitors and customers. Consider offering a digital product that goes hand in hand with the product(s) you sell on Amazon FBA.
For almost any physical product, you can create a digital guide (eBook), a membership site – something that is purely digital but enhances (the use) of the product.
When you put all of these strategies in place, that’s when you really see a permanent increase not only in revenue but profit!
These are all things which costs only a few dollars per month and can be fully automated.
Reviews for Amazon FBA
What kind of competitive advantage do you think you’d have with an email list of 1,000 loyal customer or fans?
What if you asked them to leave a review for your product?
Before, you were struggling to collect reviews to keep up with your competitors – now you have hundreds of people willing to post a review.
How about boosting you rankings by offering a coupon code to those 1,000 email subscribers?
That’s how you end up with results like this:
That’s when you send out an email to your list, only to realize a day later you’ve receive 25+ new reviews for your product.
There’s absolutely no way any competitor can keep up with this! That is, unless he is also implementing these strategies 😉
In fact, most of your competitors have probably thought about e-mail marketing but discredited it as old-fashioned, outdated and ineffective.
If you’ve ever done a bit of email marketing, you know it’s one of the most powerful tools any online business can utilize.
If you are not sure how to put all of this (setup, automation series) together, consider booking a consultation.
Depending on the type of your business, I also set up email marketing – including an automation series.
